2027 Seniors

 

 

If you need letters of recommendation, help with college applications, etc., please request an appointment with your counselor. For letters of recommendation, please complete the Information Request Google form (also located in the 2027 Google Classroom) to provide your teachers/counselor with information to use in any letters of recommendation you are requesting.

Transcripts: Requests for transcripts need to be made through Parchment.

 

It is your responsibility to know exactly where you stand with credits and graduation. Please make an appointment to meet with your counselor to review your status by using the Appointment Request Google form in the Senior Classroom or on our website on the Cougar Center page.
*Remember, passing your 2nd semester classes are essential to your graduation status.

 

All outstanding fees and fines owed to the school must be paid by May 13. Check with Mrs. Heiner in the library to see if you have any outstanding books to return. You will be charged for any books not returned to the school.
All computers and chargers borrowed from the school must be returned by May 13.
These items must be paid for or returned in order to walk at graduation.

 

If you are in any way involved with a senior prank, you will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony and may face legal ramifications.

 

Order your cap & gown as early as possible. Please see Mrs. Santillan in the front office with any questions or concerns. Deadline for ordering is March 1.

 

All seniors will receive their cap & gown orders in late April during lunchtime.

 

Ordering senior apparel is available using our school store at Jostens.

Please provide a copy of any scholarships that you are offered, or receive, to your counselor by April 29th. 

If you are scheduled to receive an award, you will receive an invitation requesting your attendance at this event. School dress code applies to this event for any student who attends. Business professional or dressy attire is preferred.

 

Please meet at the bus lane wearing your cap and gown so that we can board the buses for the Senior Walk event at all CVUSD schools. You should wear any cords or stoles you have received as well. School dress code applies to this event. Business professional or dressy attire is preferred.

 

Tickets for the graduation ceremony are not required and seating is a first come/first serve basis. Doors open at 6:00pm.
Box Suites: Suites are rented by contacting Findlay Toyota Center at 928-583-6086.

 

 

You must ride the same bus to and from the Findlay Event Center. A teacher will be taking roll and you must be present and on the correct bus.

Graduation Rehearsal will begin at 9:00am. You will be given an index card – please write your full name on it as you would like your name read at graduation.

 

 

 

We do allow our students to decorate their cap, however, it must be school appropriate or it will be replaced with a plain cap for the ceremony. The height of your decoration cannot be taller than 1 inch. No profanity, no references to sex, drugs or alcohol - nothing inappropriate will be tolerated.

Tassels:
Tassels should be worn on the right-hand side of the cap.

Robes:
Graduation robes should be worn so that the hem hangs evenly and fully zipped. Please iron your robe before coming to the ceremony.

 

Any items such as leis (any type), balloons, flowers are not allowed on the ceremony floor. Your family is welcome to give them to you AFTER the ceremony. Any items that violate this rule will be taken before the ceremony and you can get them after graduation.

Stoles or cords are not available at graduation if you lose them. Please make sure that if you did not receive your cord or stole, that you contact the club/activity advisor before graduation to obtain your items. If you have any questions about this, please contact your counselor.

 

To keep the ceremony dignified and uniform, we ask that leis be modest in size and do not distract from the graduate or official regalia. Oversized, noisy, or excessively bulky leis may be removed prior to the ceremony. Thank you for helping us keep graduation a special and respectful event for all.

Appropriate footwear is essential. Please make sure you can comfortably walk up and down stairs and the stage in the shoes you plan to wear for the ceremony.

 

Please dress appropriately (business casual) under your gown for this
important occasion. No shorts, ripped jeans, t-shirts, or flip flops.

 

 

Graduating seniors should arrive NO LATER than 6:30pm. You will enter using the east entrance which is the loading dock/back entrance to the arena. Do NOT walk in the main entrances with your families. 

 

 

 

If there is an error with your diploma, please contact Mrs. Santillan and she will order a new diploma for you. You have until mid-June to request a new diploma. After this date, you will have to order a new one from Jostens directly.
