One million Words text on picture of books
Million Word Challenge!
The Million Word Challenge is open to all CVHS students. The goal is to read a minimum of 1 million words during the school year. Each quarter, students are awarded a small party in the library with snacks and activities. You must meet the quarterly word counts to qualify for an invite to the parties.
Million Word Challenge readers also can earn Amazon gift cards, a certificate, a personalized poster, and recognition at an end-of-the-year banquet. The top reader in the school earns a Kindle Fire tablet. A drawing is held for a second tablet. All qualified millions word readers are entered into the drawing.
Contact Ms. Luci to sign up and get your reading logs!

The "Bring on the Books" program was created by Yavapai County School Librarian Suzie Roth. After visiting more than 30 schools in Yavapai County and seeing outdated and worn collections of books, she knew she had to do something to change that. It's easy to donate! Just select a school and order a book. To choose a school and view wishlists, click HERE
