Graduating Seniors 2024

Seniors - Last Days until Graduation

• March 15: Cap and Gown order deadline.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Massey in the front office.

• May 8- Award Ceremony Evening (12th grade) 6-8pm in the East Gym.

• May 8 Senior Trip to Knott’s Berry Farm (cost- $150 and payment is due April 11th). Permission slips will be handed out after payment. All permission slips need to be signed by parents/guardians.  It does not matter if you are 18, you must have a parent or a guardian sign it if you live with them. If I do not have your permission slip by May 2nd, you will not be able to go on the Senior Trip and there’s no refund. To go on the senior trip, you must attend school on the 8th. Any student that is absent will not go on the senior trip and will not get a refund. Students going on the senior trip must report to school by 11:30pm. 

• May 10- Seniors return from Knott’s Berry Farm around 3am. 

• May15- All online classes must be completed.

• May 13-16 Seniors Finals Week.

• May 16 All "senior sayings" or "thank-you" statements are due to Mrs. Massey. They must be nice and positive.  Any negative or inappropriate quote will be discarded. Example: “Thank you mom and dad for everything you have done to allow me to be successful.”

• May 16 - Memories Assembly and Talent Show in the gym 1st through 3rd period. Yearbook signing. All students will go to their 4th, 5th, 6th hour class.  

• May 16- All fees and all sports equipment are due today and must be paid to receive your diploma (Art, Library fees, etc.…). 

• May 20- Senior Walk at Territorial (9am), Del Rio (9:30 am), Heritage (10am), and CVHS (10:30). Seniors will meet at the buses at 8:40am.  Senior teachers will go with students. Seniors must wear their Cap and Gown for the Senior Walk. EARLY RELEASE.

• May 21- Senior sunset boys’ soccer field. Time to be determined to watch the sunset. Field Day and BBQ from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm. Field Day will be from 8:30 until 11 am followed by the BBQ at 11am. All seniors will meet at the football field for school breakfast. EARLY RELEASE.

• May 21- Last Day of School

• May 22- Rehearsal and Graduation. All seniors will meet by the buses at 8:00am. There are 3 buses and you must ride the same bus to and from the Findlay Event Center. A teacher will be assigned to each bus. The teacher must take roll. 

  • Graduation rehearsal begins at 9 am and ends at 11 am. The students will eat lunch at the Findlay Center after rehearsal. Pizza and drinks are being provided. 

  • You must be at rehearsal to walk at graduation. Students are not allowed to drive themselves to rehearsal. Students must take the bus. Students will be organized in two’s for walking in commencement.

  • All students and teachers must be at the Findlay Event Center by 6 pm.  Students will have time to take pictures before the event. 

  • After the ceremony students can pick up their diploma by the front doors. 

• May 22- Safe Grad Night will be held at Arizona Dreams Gymnastics from 9:00 pm to 3 am after graduation. All attendees need to have a waiver on file at their website - https://www.azdreamsgym.com 

You must be present to win any raffles. You are not required to stay the whole time but once you leave you won’t be allowed back.

Senior Exam Schedule

• May 14th (regular bell schedule) – Exams for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods

• May 15th (regular bell schedule) – Exams for 4th, 5th, and 6th periods

Senior Festivities

• *May 16th – Memories assembly for periods 1st – 3rd. Regular bell schedule for 4th, 5th, and 6th periods. 

• May 20th – Senior walk at all schools

• **May 21st – Senior BBQ/Field Day

• ***May 22nd – 8:00 a.m. Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal 

• May 22nd @ 7:00 p.m. – Graduation Ceremony at the Toyota Center

  • This is not a ticketed event. Free general admission.

*On May 16th, we will host a memories assembly for all grade levels. We will begin the day with the assembly and follow the regular lunch and bell schedule after 3rd period. This is a normal attendance day for all students, and 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will review and prepare for their exams on May 20th and 21st. We will begin the senior collection process after the assembly (i.e. chromebooks, textbooks, uniforms, etc.). 

**May 21st - All fines/fees must be paid for in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. All school materials (textbooks, calculators, uniforms, Chromebooks, etc.) must be turned in prior to participation in the graduation ceremony.

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal

***As a reminder, for graduating seniors, the ceremony will be held on May 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Toyota Center. For the mandatory graduation rehearsal, seniors will arrive at the high school no later than 8:00 a.m. All senior students must ride the school bus to the Toyota center for the rehearsal. Students may not drive themselves. The rehearsal will end at 12:00 p.m., and lunch will be provided.
